Beginning Karate : Roundhouse Kick
How are you doing? My name is Qaeem and on behalf of Expert Village, I am going to be demonstrating Shorin-Ryu Karate. In Shorin-Ryu Karate today, I am going to be demonstrating the roundhouse kick. Now, it is called the roundhouse kick because this is the kick that you bring it from the back. It''s like you are coming around the house. With this kick unlike the front snap kick, and the side kick, you not going to be blading your foot down. You''re not going to be sticking, kicking from the ball of your foot. This foot you are going to be striking with the flat top part of your foot. When you come here your foot is going to be facing forward. So when you come in you are going to be in the back stance, you are going to kick with the leg that is in the back. Bring around and then bring it back. Now, this is the kick that you are going to be kicking someone on the side of the face, in the side of the neck, or in the blade of their body. You are going to come here, kick it around, and you bring it back. Now, this is the kick also when you kick just like any kick you want to come from your waist. You are going to come here, kick it around, and bring it back and bring it back. This is the kick that you are when you are in back stance, you have to shift your weight; you have to control your weight because if you do not you will lose your balance and then you will be everywhere and you will not be able to control it. Kick and bring it back. That is the roundhouse ladies and gentleman. My name is Qaeem on behalf of Expert Village, thank you for watching.
